Disappointed, I bought a Chocolate Whiskey tea bread today but nothing to be exited about. It was on the dry side, dense and lacked that chocolate wiskey flavor. Not worth the $9.00 dólar price for a Duncan Hines Cake taste. The flourles chocolate cake, zucchini tea bread and the passion fruit tart that I had previously were very good.

Have been going here 4-5 times a week for the past 7 months, friendly staff, good price. Can get busy sometimes, if you time your visit properly then it should be a wonderful visit.

This place is heaven!! The most authentic European bakery I found so far in the Boston area. Their croissants could easily be the best part of a working day. If I have to guess, get some of their pastry for difficult conversations, it will only help it to go smoother =P heaven. Period.

One of the best bakery I have found in North America! So sad I don't have one close to home. I tried the croissants, the chocolatines and danishes and they were all delicious! I wish I could have them all the time! Worth the wait in line.

I love not only the bread but scorns as well. These are big enough, decent sweet and, crispy outside and moist inside. All are good, but a little too expensive for me.

Visiting MIT and friend recommended this place - just what a good bakery should be - I feel like I’m in France!

This is the best bakery in the Boston area. If you are even remotely around the Packard's corner area it's worth a stop by. The lines can get long early mornings in the weekends. I have yet to be disappointed by any purchase I've made. I often leave with much more than I intended because once your inside the smells will entice you to buy more!Highly recommend!

Nice staff, clean place, and lovely delicious cakes! They have lots of flavors but I recommend the tiramisu cakes. Theres small for 4$ and the regular size for 18$. Always buy cakes for my friends' birthdays and myself, and Ive never been disappointed!!

They glory in their white flour here and have reason to do so as it is all very good including sour dough.

This is a real "hidden gem", literally, of a bakery. Lots of dessert options. To put it into perspective, When Pigs Fly is good for a selection of exotic and artisan bars) breads whereas Clear Flour Bakery is great with pastries, baked goods, and fresh bread straightforward choices. The ONLY reason I'm giving out 4 stars is because for some inexplicable reason, they don't have a bread slicer. You can buy a full or half loaf of bread, but you're on your own to slice it at home. Bummer. The lemon bars kinda made up for that though.

Bread is perfect, they do a really nice chocolate bouchon and provide excellent service! A must-try if you're ever in the Brookline area.

Thank goodness that there wasn’t much of a line outside this local favorite the rainy day that we went there. The shop is tiny but smells incredible immediately after entering this quaint little bake shop. The gibassier was incredible. The slight anise flavor was not overwhelming, but complimented the orange very well. The blueberry tart was bursting with fresh blueberry flavor, not overwhelmingly sweet, and had simple flavors that shined through. The financier was also perfect. Dense with a rich almond flavor. Their almond croissant was everything a croissant should be. Airy inside, flaky outside and with the right amount of almond paste. The service was also wonderful. The little lady that helped us was friendly and didn’t rush us through our decision process, even though they were busy. She made splendid recommendations. Nothing but great things to say about this local Boston bakery.

A wonderful, cozy European bakery tucked away on a hidden street in Brookline. The intoxicating smell of baking bread when you first walk in is heavenly. They have the most amazing breads and desserts here. Be sure to grab a half loaf of Pain de Mie (don't do the full loaf unless you are in serious need of bread), morning buns, a chocolate croissant, fruit tart... You can't go wrong getting anything in there. It's all delicious!

This place is amazing. The breads are fantastic. It smells the way a bakery should. There can be a line out the door sometimes, but it's worth it to wait in line. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They accept CCs

First time there and I ordered the cheese and chocolate croissant. Both were delicious. Very fluffy. I am sure their bread is delicious too. We will try that next time. The staff was very helpful, I told them it was my first time and they went over the menu and what they bake on daily basis. A must try!

Best baguette I've had since returning from Paris. And if that isn't enough, everything else there is equally as well made and delicious. Staff is incredibly friendly to boot. Expect a bit of a line on any given day, but well worth it. Also, staying open late in the day for those of us who aren't morning people, thanks!

Visiting a friend and he said this was a must stop. So glad she insisted, clear flour has wonderful pastries, bread and goodies. Favorite was probably their currant donut, so soft and delicious. But really I think anything one orders will be delicious. It's this small corner store front, but a must go to in my opinion.

Probably the best bakery in the Boston area. Downside is that you’ve to wait at least 30 mins on Sat morning and 10 mins on weekdays in the morning just to get in the shop (and there’s a line inside as well).

I don't have much to add as all the previous reviews say it at all. This place is spectacular. I am only writing this review in response to "Andy" who gave 4 stars to Clear Flour due to its lack of "bread slicer". Come on "Andy"! where is your perspective? Clear Flour is not a bread slicer kind of place. Imagine if I go to the best Japanese restaurant in the region, but I give them a 4-star review, because they did not have ketchup?

The best bakery in Boston. European style pastries. One can taste the ingredients rather than only sugar. Don't even get me started on the bread. I'm lucky if I get home with half a loaf.

One of the best bakeries in Boston. Great and large selection of breads and pastries with many European options. They also sell at some local farmer's markets. Small but nice outside seating area.

I'm from Germany and I looked for some not so sweat breads. The most breads are with corn syrup but these breads are awesome!! ❤I looked for a "normales Brot" or a "grey bread" and I found it here!!❤So I choosed a Vollkorn Brot (~8$) and a German Rye(~10$). I love this place and whenever I need more bread I will go there!!

They always have a great selection of bread and pastries. Sometimes it's very busy. People will line up before it opens or the line will be out the door. They can sell out of specific things so it's better to go early. It's worth the 10min wait when it is busy.

Easily the best croissants in the Greater Boston area! While I unfortunately do not live as close by as before, whenever I visit I always try to schedule a visit to grab one of their delectable chocolate croissants. This time around I tried a blueberry scone and a chocolate bouchon, both of which were delicious.
